Whilst in Bangkok on Holiday, I decided to have an evening where I went around Khao San Road photographing all the street food. Here are some of my favorites:
Bangkok Street food
Khao Sok National Park
Whilst on holiday in Thailand, we had a cooking lesson as part of our two day safari package. We started off by learning how to prepare one of the main ingredients in Thai food- Coconut milk.
Yalla Yalla
Today I went to a restaurant just off Oxford Street called 'Yalla Yalla'. This is a new branch of the company that only just opened before Christmas. It is a large and spacious restaurant, but this doesn't compromise on the little details making eating here a joyful experience.
Heston’s Restaurant- Dinner
Today I was lucky enough to go and photograph food at Heston Blumental's restaurant in Knightsbridge for 'Eat Me' Magazine. I arrived at the venue nice and early as I am always worried about been late! Heston's restaurant- Dinner, is actually situated inside the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and has only been open for one month. It seemed like a popular restaurant as there are 55 chefs that work there and the venue can seat 140 people!!!
Puji Puji
Today I ventured to East London to take some photographs for a 'Eat Me' food review. The restaurant I went to is called Puji Puji and it's in Dalston. It was about a ten minute walk from the tube, but it was worth the walk. It is a small restaurant serving Malaysian food.
Meat Easy
Today I went to a burger restaurant in New Cross called 'Meat Easy' for 'Eat Me' magazine. I arrived outside a pub in New Cross looking for the restaurant. After triple checking the address I realized the restaurant is actually above the pub. The restaurant definitely had character and the staff were so lovely. They couldn't do enough to make sure I was ok. Here's a few of my shots of the restaurant:
Published work
My work has just been published in 'Eatme-Issue 4'.
This Issue is packed full of fun stuff- An interview with Heston Blumenthal, Eat This- London food guide, The book review for cooks, and Beer in the community. It's definitely worth a read!....
More food tests
During the Christmas break I decided to take a few more photos for my portfolio. I decided to experiment with some high-key, back lit food photography. My brief was to keep the actual items I wanted to photograph quite simple, as I wanted to experiment with some macro photography, so the detail was more important to me than the actual setting.....
Fernandez & Wells
I did a shoot for 'Eat me Magazine' at Fernandez & Wells in Soho, London.....
Samarqand
Today I did a shoot for 'Eatme Magazine' at an Indian restaurant in the heart of London. Here are some of my photographs from the shoot:
